Yard waste includes materials like grass clippings, garden waste, leaves, branches and limbs, shrubs and flowers. It does not include lawn chairs, garden hoses, lawn tools or other maintenance tools.
Unlimited amounts of yard waste will be picked up April 1 – November 30.
Set out your yard waste by 7:00 a.m. on your scheduled collection day. You may set it out as early as 7:00 p.m. the evening prior to collection. There are no set times for collection.
Place yard waste in a regular garbage can, City-approved Poly-cart or paper yard waste bags. Mark containers with a “Y” or place an orange yard waste sticker (obtained at the Recycling Center or Health Department) on each can or bag.
Yard waste placed in plastic bags will not be collected.
Gather limbs and branches into bundles no more than 4’ in length, 2’ in diameter and 60 pounds in weight; use string or twine to tie the bundles. Do not use wire, nylon or rope.
