Tree and Yard Waste Recycling Fees and Guidelines 

The Council Bluffs Recycling Center accepts and recycles tree debris and yard waste for a fee of $27.00 per ton, with a minimum fee of $5.00 per load. 

Guidelines for tree/ yard waste recycling:

• Branches and logs up to 24" in diameter are cut no longer than 10' in length
• Branches and logs 24" to 36" in diameter are cut no longer than 6' in length
• Branches and logs greater than 36" in diameter are cut no longer than 4' in length
• Loads must be free from garbage, dirt and other debris
• Absolutely no metal is allowed in the tree loads
• Any load of tree debris that contains any logs not cut to proper lengths will be charged $62.00 per ton 
• Any load of tree debris containing garbage, construction or other debris will be charged $62.00 per ton
• All transactions are rounded to the nearest whole dollar
