Pickleball League

Council Bluffs Parks and Recreation, in collaboration with Council Bluffs Area Pickleball, is offering adult pickleball doubles leagues. Games are played in Council Bluffs at the Iowa West Field House (5 Arena Way). Participants 10 years old and up are eligible.

Pickleball is a paddle sport played using a plastic ball with holes. The game combines fundamentals of tennis, ping-pong, and badminton and can be played as doubles or singles. Pickleball is played on indoor or outdoor courts measuring one-fourth the size of a standard tennis court with a lower net.

Pickleball is a friendly game with simple rules making it an ideal sport for people of all ages. While the game is social, more experience equates to a more fast-paced, challenging, competitive match.

Winter 2023 Wednesday Pickleball Team League 

  • Registration: December 6 - December 22
  • Fee: $220 per team
  • Season: January 4 - February 8, 2023
  • Playoffs: February 15
  • Two divisions
    • Intermediate
      • Matches played between 6:00 p.m. - 8:15 p.m.
      • Skills 2.0-3.5
    • Advanced
      • Matches played between 8:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.
      • Skills 3.0-5.0
  • Fifteen regular-season matches per player
    • Each match will be played with a different teammate on their four-person team
    • Players will have two mixed doubles matches and one gender specific match each week
  • One registration per team, not per player 
  • Spots for 48 players/ 12 teams
  • Participants ages 10 and up
  • All skills from 2.0-5.0
  • All genders
